The real reason behind resignation of MP David Ong

It is probably public knowledge by now that MP David Ong has resigned from his MP post and PAP membership with immediate effect for “personal reason”. The announcement has been very cryptic about what the real reason for his resignation (with words like “personal indiscretions”,”to heal and rebuild” etc), there are not a lot of news at this early days, Askmelah’s CSI found the closest to clue as follows:

“Channel NewsAsia has confirmed that Mr Ong is resigning over an extramarital affair. The woman involved is a PAP member and grassroots volunteer, and an executive at a logistics firm. The affair is believed to have gone on for about six months, and came to light after the woman’s husband complained about it. “
